Antibacterial mats between clean and unclean zones
PROBLEM:
Pedestrian and driving traffic between clean and unclean zones poses a high risk of contamination. The customer therefore used one truck in each zone; the one truck where the load was unloaded at one point and then picked up by another truck in the other zone to avoid contamination.
SOLUTION:
Based on a test, an antibacterial mat was placed between the two zones, after which the same truck can now drive in both zones without contamination problems.
RESULT:
Great savings on handling costs and equipment. The company saves 2 man-years and a truck by placing an antibacterial mat between the clean and unclean zone.
